Future upgrades of Brisbane's Resource Recovery Centres
Consultation on the future upgrades of Brisbane's Resource Recovery Centres has now concluded. Thank you to everyone who provided feedback.
Brisbane City Council invited Brisbane residents and businesses to have their say and help shape future upgrades of Brisbane's four Resource Recovery Centres (RRCs), located at Nudgee, Willawong, Ferny Grove, and Chandler. The centres were previously known as transfer stations or tips.
These future upgrades will transform and upgrade these centres into circular economy hubs to help Brisbane achieve its waste reduction goals, and to meet the needs of Brisbane residents and businesses for the next 30 years.

Widen the roadway at Nudgee RRC from the green waste to weighbridge so token exiting customers don't have to line up with paying customers

Better Marketing for second hand economy
Better communications and marketing about what can be donated to the treasure troves (AKA Tip Shop). I often see used or slightly damaged furniture items in the household waste. People need to know these can be donated for sale at the tip shop!

Force people to go through the recycling section first, then straight through to the pit without having to line up a second time.

Disposal Pricing need to be Amended in the section of cars (sedan) I suggest removing the 500kg value because it impacts customer behaviour.
It's led to the argument when the customer drops only 140kg in his UTE and they get very upset when they see 500kg value for $13.20 which is cars(sedans). So conclusion with saying if there should be amendments in the signage of cars disposal pricing. Thanks
