7th Brigade Park upgrade project

This community engagement has now closed. Thank you to everyone who provided feedback.

Brisbane City Council is planning for future improvements in 7th Brigade Park to ensure it continues to meet the needs of the growing community. As Chermside and nearby areas continue to grow, sports, recreation and open spaces must be improved to meet community needs.

This project will focus on creating informal sport spaces and off-road cycling facilities. 7th Brigade Park has been identified as having open space which could support informal local outdoor sports such as Soccer, Touch Football, Australian Rules or Rugby codes. Upgrades that could be considered include improving turf, line markings and multi-use goals.

There is also an opportunity for off-road cycling facilities in this park, such as the installation of a multi-use cycling track, skills track, jumps or pump track. The Opportunities map shows three possible areas for future off-road facilities and we want to understand the community's preferred location for this type of recreation activity.

Council is seeking your thoughts and ideas to help shape a draft concept plan to guide future upgrades. Your feedback will be considered alongside technical investigations and Council requirements to help shape future park improvements.
