Brisbane City Council is developing a concept plan for the Anstead Bushland Reserves, including future facilities for children, adults and families.
The Anstead Bushland Reserves include Mt Crosby Road Park, Anstead Bushland Reserve and Anstead Bushland Reserve South (previously known as Hawkesbury Road Park). For site locations, view the Anstead Bushland Reserves concept plan site map.
Council aims to provide a diversity of nature-based recreation activities in natural areas whilst protecting and managing the range of environmental values that occur in these reserves.
The concept plan will identify locations for future low-impact outdoor recreation facilities and visitor amenities and demonstrate how bushland reserve values will be protected and enhanced for the long term.
During May-June 2021, Council sought community input via an online survey to inform the planning for the Anstead Bushland Reserves. The final concept plan is is expected to be released in early-mid 2022.
