Consultation on Brighton Foreshore Parkland - developing a concept plan stage 1, has now closed. Thank you to everyone who provided feedback.
As part of Council’s commitment to provide more opportunities for recreation, relaxing, and meeting with family and friends in one of the many places that makes our city great, Council will be preparing a Brighton Foreshore parklands concept plan. The plan will guide how we protect the parkland's natural areas and heritage values while reflecting the diverse needs of current and future community.
During February and March 2023, Council invited you to help shape the draft concept plan by sharing;-
how you use the foreshore parklands now
how you would like to use it in the future
what you love or value about it and
what you think could improve your enjoyment when visiting.
Note:
Whilst Council intends for the concept plan to focus on the linear esplanade section along Flinders Parade which hasn’t experienced recent works, comments about your use of Decker and Brighton Parks will also help inform future planning.
Online consultation on the draft Brighton Foreshore parklands concept plan has now concluded. Thank you to everyone who has provided feedback. Your feedback will help us to prepare the draft Brighton Foreshore concept plan, which Council will release for further community feedback in late-2023.
