Clouds and silver linings.

Clouds, they’ve brought us a lot of rain this year! Potentially the reason a thumb went through one of the pumpkins in my pantry stash. Not one to waste food, I used an ice cream scoop to remove the squishy bits, and set to dicing the rest for chutney.Preserving is a great way to manage one’s excess home grown produce and thus avoid food waste. A silver lining has to be the full compost bucket of peelings and scraps from the pumpkin, apples, onions, chilli and ginger I put in, and the diced apple core for the chook scraps tub…
