What is being proposed

Carindale Recreation Reserve is upgrading in accordance with its classification as a District General Recreation park.

Park features comparable with this type of park classification might include features like seating, picnic areas, car parking, playground/fitness equipment, pathways, and landscaping.

Council intends to develop a concept plan for Carindale Recreation Reserve park which will guide planning for future recreation needs of the growing Carindale community.

Proposed features in the draft concept plan include:

• a new entry road to connect to existing car parking
• upgrades and extend existing space-themed playground
• installation of a multi-use riding track
• installation of more picnic facilities
• installation of fitness/agility equipment
• upgrades/modifications to existing pathways
• additional and future areas for car parking.
