FAQs
Why is Council investing in this park?
This project is part of Council’s broader commitment to providing quality parks that encourage active and healthy lifestyles. To ensure that the park continues to meet the needs of residents, we have developed a draft concept plan and shared this with the community in late 2025. We’ve used what you told us, alongside technical, safety and environmental investigations, to shape the final concept plan and deliver a safe, functional and enjoyable park.
What is the difference between a draft and final concept plan?
A draft concept plan is the first version of a big picture, ideas plan developed to support community engagement and help the community provide feedback on proposed works or new features.
A final concept plan is the approved, refined concept plan ending the design phase and sets the vision for construction.

What's happening as part of the initial works?
Initial works are all about improving how you move around the park in a safer and more enjoyable way, whether you’re walking, riding or driving. We’re improving how people enter the park, as well as updating paths and crossings.
Construction of future works are subject to the availability of funding. We’re committed to keeping the community informed and will provide more information as the project progresses.
