Chermside Centre Suburban Renewal Precinct Plan project

We are working with the community to create the Chermside Centre Suburban Renewal Precinct Plan. This initiative will help guide future building design, development and local job opportunities.

The precinct plan will have 4 main themes:

1. Housing choice: We need more homes for every type of household such as singles, couples and families. We’ll enable this by reviewing zoning and housing options.
2. Vibrant village: We want to create more to see and do. This includes improving public spaces and facilities while creating more opportunities for local shops, dining and businesses.
3. Subtropical lifestyle: We can celebrate our outdoor lifestyle. Making sure buildings and public spaces include shade and greenery can make the outdoors more comfortable.
4. Connecting people and places: We can maximise our public and active transport networks while making walking and cycling safer and more convenient.
