Davies Park Improvement Project

Davies Park improvement project

Brisbane City Council is committed to keeping Brisbane clean and green, making our city liveable and sustainable for future generations. Davies Park is a much-loved, six-hectare green space in West End providing sport and recreation opportunities for the community for more than 100 years.

The Local Government Infrastructure Plan (LGIP) includes a $1.5m allocation for infrastructure upgrades in Davies Park, as well as other future park investments in West End. Council is funding this work from infrastructure contributions collected from development occurring within Brisbane.

The purpose of this project is to revitalise the park to increase its attraction and usability for the community. Improvements will focus on areas of the park that do not impact existing leases. The project will identify and deliver park improvements that:

  • increase accessible green space
  • accommodate existing community lease activities in the park
  • promote a sense of community and celebrate its cultural heritage
  • increase the recreational use of the park.

Consultation has closed on the park improvements. You can read what the community suggested by viewing the maps. Please register to receive regular updates.
