Consultation has concluded

Updated April 2023

Community consultation on the Greenslopes Parking Study has now concluded.  Thank you to everyone who has provided feedback. For the latest updates on this project, visit Greenslopes Parking Study on Council's website.

In response to community concerns about the high demand for on-street parking in the Greenslopes Parking Study Area, Brisbane City Council conducted a parking study of the area in late 2021.

A comprehensive review based on 2021 parking occupancy data was completed to find potential solutions for the area. Time limited parking restrictions were identified as a key opportunity to help manage high demand for on-street parking.

Council proposed the introduction of time limited parking restrictions via a Regulated Parking Permit Scheme with a three-hour parking time limit.

Features of the proposed scheme

Features of the proposed Regulated Parking Permit Scheme include:

  • Implementing three-hour time limited parking restrictions across the area in those locations where there is community support
  • Providing existing households with eligibility to apply for one Resident Parking Permit and one Visitor Parking Permit at an annual cost of $16.25 per permit
  • Restricting residents of future multi-unit dwellings from applying for permits
  • Council enforcement of the new arrangements.

Community consultation

The community was recently invited to have their say on the proposed introduction of time limited parking restrictions in the Greenslopes Parking Study Area via an online survey.  This consultation has now closed and we would like to thank the community for taking the time to provide their feedback. We will now review and evaluate all feedback and share next steps and actions with the community soon.
