As part of Brisbane City Council's commitment to making Brisbane a clean, green, and, sustainable city now and for future generations, Council is developing a concept plan for the Kingfisher Creek corridor in Woolloongabba and East Brisbane.
Kingfisher Creek corridor is the third of three large, integrated priority projects identified in the Norman Creek 2012-2031 Master Plan. It aims to build a series of 'stepping stone' greenspaces in the heart of Woolloongabba and East Brisbane.
Kingfisher Creek corridor draft concept plan - Revised local road network proposals
Council released and invited the community to provide feedback on the Kingfisher Creek corridor draft concept plan in late 2023.
The draft concept plan proposed changes to the local road network in the Kingfisher Creek corridor. Council has considered the feedback received from previous community and stakeholder engagement along with undertaking further technical investigations to develop a revised local road network proposal for the Kingfisher Creek corridor. Prior to finalising the concept plan, Council would like to undertake further community engagement regarding the revised local road network proposal.
