Melton Road Minor Suburban Corridor Improvements project

This community engagement has now closed. Thank you to everyone who provided feedback. 

Council is looking at ways to make Melton Road in Nundah/Northgate, between Toombul Road and Walkers Way, safer and easier to use, especially for people walking in the area.

As part of Brisbane’s Suburban Corridor Modernisation program, we’ll consider small but meaningful upgrades. These could include:

  • minor intersection safety improvements
  • upgrading pedestrian crossings
  • adding kerb build outs
  • updating line markings
  • improving signage
  • minor footpath upgrades.

Your experiences and ideas will be considered alongside technical data and design standards to help shape future improvements for residents, visitors and commuters.

We’re in the early planning phase of the project and potential future construction will depend on the design progress and availability of funding. We expect to be able to share what we heard from the community in early 2026.
