Through the Manly Harbour Village Precinct Project, Brisbane City Council worked closely with the local community to revitalise the Manly Harbour Village. Construction of improvements, including a new foreshore plaza, was completed in September 2021, Council now invites you to celebrate completion of the project and provide your feedback on the delivered improvements.

Delivered improvements

The final improvement plan includes:

  • a new foreshore plaza layout with upgraded pavements and separate paths along the waterfront to ensure spaces designed for both local community’s leisure use and also for festivals and markets;
  • bespoke furniture including site specific designed concrete seats, drinking fountain, bike racks and removable bollards to provide better amenity of the plaza
  • refresh of the existing plantings and new trees to provide shade
  • creative lighting projections at the new foreshore plaza designed by a local artist Delvene Cockatoo-Collins to promote night-time experiences and local identity
  • removal of ageing structures to declutter the plaza.
