Community consultation for the Quirk Street Precinct, The Gap closed on 28 November 2022. Thank you to those who contributed their feedback.
The Quirk Street Precinct in The Gap is an area where Council has received requests for Local Area Traffic Management (LATM). LATM may involve the construction of traffic management devices to discourage the use of local streets by through traffic, and other devices that improve access, safety and connectivity for other road users.
In response to concerns and suggestions about traffic management throughout the precinct, Council would like to take this opportunity to hear your views on traffic management, and what types of measures you may support being constructed on your street and within your local area.
A fact sheet with information about LATM options and potential treatments is available here, which can help inform your feedback on the proposal. We encourage you to read the fact sheet, and view the information in the LATM Options tab below prior to providing feedback on this proposal.
Your feedback is important and will be used to understand if there is community support for an LATM scheme for Quirk Street precinct and guide any future design investigations.
