We have now closed consultation for the study. The purpose of this consultation was to help us understand your experiences and potential opportunities for improving active travel in this area.
This study is part of our commitment to expand our city’s active travel network to deliver safe, convenient and connected paths and help to improve active transport options for Brisbane residents, visitors and commuters.

Active travel refers to any mode of travel that relates to any mode of travel that relies on human powered mobility.
Active travel is anything that involves:
Riding a bike
Using an E-mobility device (e-scooter, e-bike, e-skateboard)
Walking, running or using any other form of mobility device

October/November 2022- Community consultation
South Brisbane Active Travel Study has finished this stage
Community consultation was open from 24 October to 21 November 2022. Consultation involved an online survey and interactive map to better understand community needs, experiences, issues and opportunities associated with active travel in the area and to help inform our decision making on the next steps.
Early 2023
South Brisbane Active Travel Study is currently at this stage
All feedback will be considered along with technical input as part of future potential improvement options. As next steps progress, we are committed to keeping the community updated.
