Consultation has concluded.
Brisbane City Council is pleased to announce that funding was allocated in the Suburban Corridor Modernisation budget to commence planning and consultation of traffic and safety improvements along Hemmant Tingalpa Road in Hemmant.
In response to concerns and suggestions about motorist and pedestrian safety in your local area, Council is seeking feedback on potential traffic and safety improvements along Hemmant Tingalpa Road.
We have identified six potential traffic and safety improvement options for your consideration including:
Pedestrian access and visibility
No stopping conditions
Construction of missing footpath links
New pedestrian crossing facilities
Speed awareness monitors
LED road signs

Hemmant Tingalpa Road, Hemmant – traffic and safety improvements has finished this stage
Online community survey and interactive map to understand community support and preferences on suggestions for Hemmant Tingalpa Road and any other ideas the community feel should be considered.
Early 2023 - Evaluation of feedback
Hemmant Tingalpa Road, Hemmant – traffic and safety improvements is currently at this stage
Council will evaluate the feedback and a decision will be made about future stages of the project. This may involve further consultation with directly affected residents following further investigation and design.
