Sylvan Road bikeway and local network improvements project

This community engagement has now closed. Thank you to everyone who provided feedback.

Cyclists travelling along the Bicentennial Bikeway

Sylvan Road is a residential street and popular cycling route in Toowong, connecting the Bicentennial Bikeway and the Western Freeway Bikeway.

There is an opportunity to make moving around this corridor easier and safer with separated active transport connections and intersection improvements, including at:

  • Croydon Street, Sylvan Road and Jephson Street
  • Milton Road, Croydon Street and Morley Street
  • Milton Road and Sylvan Road.

Your feedback will be considered alongside technical data and Council’s design practices to help inform infrastructure and make it safer and easier to move through the precinct.

This is an important part of our planning and design process to improve the local road network for residents, visitors and commuters and keep Brisbane moving.

Have your say

We sought community feedback to help us better understand your travel through the area and where you see opportunities for improvements.

The online survey and pin on a map tool closed on Sunday 06 July 2025.

Next steps

We're undertaking investigations to inform the project design. We will provide an update to the community as the design progresses.
