Wynnum Centre Suburban Renewal Precinct Project

Project Update 24 November 2025.

Wynnum is one of Brisbane's most popular bayside suburbs. Council is creating a suburban renewal precinct plan for Wynnum Centre to:

  • embrace the area's bayside character
  • expand opportunities for the local economy
  • allow more housing to be built
  • maximise connections to public transport and the foreshore.

The draft Wynnum Centre Suburban Renewal Precinct Plan is based on technical investigations, initial community ideas and supporting updates to the Wynnum-Manly neighbourhood plan. 

Community consultation

The draft precinct plan was open for community consultation from 7 October to 23 November 2025. Thank you to everyone who submitted feedback.

Following a review of submissions, Council will write to everyone who has made a properly made submission on the proposed changes and will publish a copy of the consultation report online.
