We are working with the local community to revitalise the public space along Ainsworth Street, between Georgina Street and Angela Street, Salisbury. This area has been identified as the latest location to receive improvements under the Better Suburbs - Places and Spaces (BSPS) program.

We invited the local community to shared their thoughts and ideas ideas on how public areas and the streetscape could be improved through one or all of the following:

  • completing the online survey,
  • adding location-specific pins on our map, and/or
  • visit us in-person at our information kiosk

Community input at this early stage will be considered along with technical studies and Council requires to prepare a draft concept plan.

  • Streetscape improvement examples

    As part of this project, we aim to strengthen connections to, within, and through the precinct, while celebrating its unique character and identity. Potential improvements may include:

    • Wayfaring elements
    • Public art installations
    • Creative lighting
    • Comfortable seating areas
    • Enhanced pedestrian connectivity
    • Street trees and landscaping
    • Upgraded footpath surfaces.


    Below are examples of streetscape enhancements delivered across Brisbane through previous Council public space improvement projects.

    We invited the community to use our interactive map to share their location specific improvement ideas for the Ainsworth Street, Salisbury neighbourhood precinct.

The distinctive sculptures are part of the Paddington Terraces Kooka! trail which includes 24 Kooka! sculptures, across 16 locations, each with unique artworks by various local artists for the community and visitors to explore.
