Brighton Foreshore Parklands draft concept plan

Preparation of the Brighton Foreshore Parklands draft concept plan was shaped from input and ideas received from the community in early 2023 along with technical investigations and considerations of site constraints. The draft plan proposes ideas to enhance the foreshore area without changing the relaxed and laid-back feel along this beautiful section of Brisbane's shoreline.

The draft concept plan covers the area from 9th Avenue to 19 Avenue and is underpinned by 3 main objectives; Community, Environment and Resilience.

Key proposals presented in the draft concept plan include:

• new kerbside pathway
• new low seating wall
• installing coastal protection features
• improving access to the tidal flats
• increasing shade and seating
• 4 ideas to widen the promenade pathway between 15th and 18th Avenue
