Ellen Grove parks precinct project
The initial community engagement phase on Ellen Grove parks precinct project has now closed. Thank you to everyone who provided feedback.
As part of Council’s commitment to provide more opportunities for recreation, relaxation, and meeting with family and friends in one of the many places that makes our city great, Council will be preparing an Ellen Grove parks precinct concept plan.
The concept plan will guide planning for future park improvements and sport and recreation needs of the growing Ellen Grove community whilst protecting the parklands natural areas. The park precinct includes Ellen Grove District Park and Waterford Road Park.
In the first stage of community engagement during March to June 2023, Council invited you to help shape preparation of a draft concept plan by sharing your hopes on how these park spaces might be used and enjoyed in the future.
Have your say
Your feedback will be considered along with technical investigations and Council requirements and will help inform a draft concept plan for further community consultation later this year.

As the founder of Forest Lake Crime and Community Watch which encompasses Ellen Grove, our youth need a safe space to spend time together.
As the founder of Forest Lake Crime and Community Watch which encompasses Ellen Grove, there is a large problem in our local community where our youth have no area to spend time together, thus keeping out of trouble.This is a problem or youth of all ages.Hence I would like council to consider the following ideas for this area please.A large adventure style playground, with multiple levels or adventure, interactivity,, and play, including disability play areas and equipment.A small water park area similar to Robelle Domain at Springfield., a BMX, scooter rack around the edges of the parkland area, with a skate owl area in part of the parkland.A sports practice and play area, consisting of a cricket net, basketball court, with a hard wall for solo tennis or handball rebound gaming.Have the entire area floodlit at night until 2200hrs.A interactive adventure off leash dog park area with dog games and a small water area for hot weather relief, with two card operated hydro baths. Another seperate area of lush botanical planting with multiple small tranquil dimly colourfully lit meditation zones throughout for relaxation day and night.
