Fortitude Valley Sustainable Growth Precinct Plan project
This community engagement has now closed. Thank you to everyone who provided feedback.
We are working with the community to create the Fortitude Valley Sustainable Growth Precinct Plan. The plan will create an exciting long-term vision for the Valley, focusing on how we can renew the area and harness the opportunities presented by the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The study area encompassed Fortitude Valley's current precincts, including the live music and entertainment venues in Brunswick Street and surrounds (Valley heart), to the surrounding mixed-use, retail and lifestyle hubs.
The precinct plan will aim to:
- facilitate housing choice and diversity
- improve connections to places and destinations
- leverage opportunities in the lead up to Brisbane 2032 and beyond
- enhance cultural and creative experiences
- support Fortitude Valley’s rich character and heritage
- support vibrant streets, laneways and public spaces
- boost the 24/7 economy
- create thriving precincts and mixed-use communities.
Community engagement
We invited the community to tell us what they would like to see in Fortitude Valley by:
completing an online survey, and/or
adding location-specific comments on a map.
This first stage of community engagement closed on 15 February 2026. Thank you for sharing your ideas for revitalising the Fortitude Valley precinct.
Further opportunities to have your say will be available once the draft plan is released later in 2026.
