Brisbane City Council is investigating the next stages of the potential future Indooroopilly Bikeway, between the Western Freeway Bikeway and the University of Queensland (UQ).

There are three sections to this potential future connection, which are at various stages of development, including from:

  • Carawa Street to Indooroopilly Riverwalk
  • Indooroopilly Riverwalk to Western Freeway Bikeway
  • Western Freeway Bikeway to Moggill Road.

We’re undertaking community engagement to understand your active travel experiences between Carawa Street, St Lucia and Moggill Road, Indooroopilly.

This review is part of our planning and design process to help improve active travel options for residents, students, visitors and commuters.

Have your say

Brisbane City Council invites you to share your active travel experiences between Carawa Street, St Lucia and Moggill Road, Indooroopilly by:

  • dropping a pin on the map to provide location-specific comments and/or,
  • completing the online survey.

Please provide your feedback by 11.59pm, Sunday 30 March 2025.

Your feedback will be considered along with technical inputs and Council's requirements.

This project is jointly funded by Brisbane City Council and the Queensland Government’s Cycle Network Local Government Grants Program.

We would like to understand your active travel experiences in the study area.

Drop a pin on the map at a location where you want to provide your feedback and include a comment about one or both of these prompts:

  • What improvement opportunities would make your active travel experience more enjoyable?
  • What do you find challenging when active travelling through the study area?

Feel free to drop more than one pin if you have multiple comments. 

To drop a pin and provide a comment on the map:

  • select the 'add a pin' icon on the top right
  • drag the pin to a location on the map within the highlighted area
  • add your comment to the prompt question above, then submit (it's a good idea to check your response before submitting in case your browser has auto-filled any fields)
  • if you want to change your comment or move your pin, select your pin on the map, then select 'Edit'.
