Brisbane City Council is undertaking a study of active travel between Captain Burke Park Kangaroo Point and Mowbray Park in East Brisbane to understand how, why and when you travel in this area.

We have now closed consultation for this project. The purpose of the consultation was to help us understand your experiences and potential opportunities for improving active travel in this area.

This review is part of our commitment to expand our city’s active travel network to deliver safe, convenient and connected paths and help to improve active transport options for Brisbane residents, visitors and commuters.

This planning study is an initiative of the Queensland Government.

The purpose of this mapping activity is to invite your feedback on the type and location of potential active travel improvements. 

You can provide your feedback anywhere in the study area by dropping a pink pin on the map and comment on the prompt question:

What improvements would make your active travel experience more enjoyable

We are also very keen to understand your ideas about active travel improvements in three locations identified with a yellow pin. (Click on the yellow pins to see some example of active travel improvements).  

Feel free to drop more than one pin you have multiple comments.  


To drop a pin and provide a comment on the map:

  • select the 'add a pin' iconImage of the 'add a pin' iconon the left panel
  • choose a pink pin and drag to a location on the map within the highlighted area
  • add your comment to the prompt question above, then submit (it’s a good idea to check your response before submitting in case your browser has auto-filled any fields)
  • if you want to change your comment or move your pin, select your pin on the map, then select 'Edit'.
