Keating Park upgrade project - draft concept plan

Brisbane City Council is planning a park upgrade for Keating Park, Indooroopilly to ensure it continues to meet the needs of the growing community.

During November 2025, we invited ideas and input from the community to help inform preparation of a draft concept plan to guide planning for future park improvements and recreation needs of the growing Indooroopilly community. We heard the park’s leafy character and shade is valued and there is a desire to keep the park comfortable, accessible and welcoming.

We are inviting the community to have their say on the draft concept plan by:

Feedback on the draft concept plan for the Keating Park upgrade closes 11.59pm, Sunday 7 June 2026.

Council will consider community feedback along with technical investigations, Council requirements and the surrounding natural environment values to prepare a final concept plan for the Keating Park upgrade.

    • Large and small picnic shelters
    • New toilet block with an accessible cubicle
    • Shrub and groundcover planting
    • Pathways
    • Accessible drinking fountain
    • Multi-use sports court
    • Pickleball court
    • Bench seating and seating walls
    • Low height deck for low impact activities
