Keating Park upgrade project - draft concept plan

August 2026 update: We’ve developed a final concept plan to guide future improvements to Keating Park in Indooroopilly. The plan reflects what you’ve shared with us and explores ways to enhance the park, so it remains a welcoming and well-loved space for the community, now and into the future. 

Brisbane City Council is planning a park upgrade for Keating Park, Indooroopilly to ensure it continues to meet the needs of the growing community.

During November 2025, we invited ideas and input from the community to help inform preparation of a draft concept plan to guide planning for future park improvements and recreation needs of the growing Indooroopilly community. We heard the park’s leafy character and shade is valued and there is a desire to keep the park comfortable, accessible and welcoming.

Council has prepared a draft concept plan for the Keating Park upgrade project. You can view the draft plan and read what is being proposed below.

We invited the community to have their say on the draft concept plan by:

  • completing the online feedback survey, and/or
  • visiting one of the information kiosks.

Feedback on the draft concept plan for the Keating Park upgrade closed 11.59pm, Sunday 7 June 2026.

Council will consider community feedback along with technical investigations, Council requirements and the surrounding natural environment values to prepare a final concept plan for the Keating Park upgrade.
