Updated June 2021
Consultation on the Sandgate District Neighbourhood Plan has now closed. Thank you to everyone who provided feedback. For the latest updates on this project, visit Sandgate District Neighbourhood Plan on Council's website.
Brisbane City Council is updating the Sandgate District Neighbourhood Plan for Sandgate, Deagon, Shorncliffe and Brighton.
Council is committed to growing our city while maintaining the character of our suburbs and planning for the future.
This project is just one way Council is ensuring Brisbane is a city of neighbourhoods, where residents are close to the services they need and the lifestyle and leisure opportunities they want.
Council prepared the draft Sandgate District Neighbourhood Plan based on community feedback on the draft strategy and further technical reviews of the area. Several changes to the approach outlined in the draft strategy were proposed in the draft neighbourhood plan to respond to community feedback. The draft neighbourhood plan was considered by Council in December 2020, has been reviewed by the Queensland Government with their requirements incorporated into the draft plan, and was released for community consultation from 10 May to 21 June 2021.
