Garage sale fundraiser - Camp Hill
Last month we held a garage sale as a fundraiser for our community garden in Camp Hill. Since the community composting hub was right in the middle of the action we did lots of education and show and tell. We sold bags of compost that we had sifted using our new compost sifter (pictured).
I like this sifter, which was made by one of our members, because it works best with two people and that means you aren't doing it all by yourself but are sharing a chat while you sift compost.
Besides the compost we sold succulents and some vintage garden tools in the garden section along with all the bric-a-brac you expect to find at a garage sale.
Setting up for a garage sale is tons of work but was a good day out in the end. Anyone else have any good fundraising ideas? We can always use a new pitchfork or wheelbarrow!
