Enhanced Brisbane Mobile App usability study

Welcome to the usability testing study for the enhanced Brisbane app, and thank you for taking part.

By joining the study, you’re helping us understand what works well and where we can improve, so we can make the app more useful and easier for everyone to use.

This study involves a small group of Council staff, and your feedback will directly shape future updates. You’ll get early access to new features and will try them in everyday situations so we can make sure everything works smoothly before release.

On this page, you’ll find everything you need to get started, including key dates, how to install the test version of the app, how to give feedback and how to get help.

How it works

If you’ve signed up, you’ll receive an email on Tuesday 7 April with instructions to download the test version of the Brisbane app. If you already have the public version installed, you’ll see two app icons—this is normal. The test version will automatically expire at the end of the study.

During the study, you’ll receive suggested tasks to try. You can complete these or explore any other tasks using the new features in the app.

After each task, please complete a feedback form, even if you couldn't finish the task or something didn’t work as expected. All feedback is confidential and anonymised before being shared with the project team.

Need help?

If you get stuck or have a question, support is available from 7am to 7pm through the online forum on this page.
You can also contact the study lead, Karen Manton, by email or Teams karen.manton@brisbane.qld.gov.au

We’re here to help and appreciate you taking the time to contribute.

Study duration

The study runs for 2 weeks, from 7 to 17 April.
All feedback must be submitted by 17 April.
