Wittonga Park playground and picnic area upgrade - draft concept plan

Brisbane City Council is creating more to see and do in our suburbs by undertaking the Wittonga Park playground and picnic area upgrade project.

This project is part of Council’s commitment to enhancing and maintaining more than 2180 parks across the city which helps residents get outdoors and enjoy our city’s unique, sub-tropical lifestyle.

In November 2025, we invited ideas and input from the community to help inform the development of a draft concept plan for the Wittonga Park playground and picnic area upgrade. The community told us that this is a valued neighbourhood place with the playground and picnic area central to how the park is used. There is a desire for the playground upgrade to incorporate opportunities that cater for different age groups and abilities.
